This is all about HEALTHY lifestyle changes and weight loss.

Move it!

It's not easy to go from a couch potato to a full-on athlete, BUT it is possible and it is WORTH IT.

You've got to start today. Now. Go. :)

When I am trying to lose weight I am eating great and exercising a lot. It may sound pretty crappy, and it is...at first. But after you have been do it for a little while, it just feels good. Really good.

Here's a simple starter plan- (found on Pinterest) Although I would include a 20-30+ min walk after the first 7 days, then a 20-30+ min walk/jog after the rest. :)

Find some way to work out 5-6 times a week for at least 30 min. Get your heart moving! (See the Heart Rate  page to determine where your heart rate should be during your workouts.) Rest on Sunday to recover.

I made it a point to exercise as much as I could in a day. Make it a priority. ie. I would start with a 30 min walk/jog in the morning. In the evening ride my stationary bike for an hour or hour and a half. Don't balk at the time, it's not that bad really. Set the bike to a level that you can pedal comfortably and where you are hitting your target heart rate and just go and go and go. Read a book, watch tv and the times goes quickly. You'll sweat like crazy, but you can keep moving. Or go to an hour long Zumba class then jog a couple of miles afterward.

Start slow with each type of exercise that you try. And try new things.
Walk, Run, Bike, Elliptical, Zumba, Steps, Swim, Lift Weights, etc. etc.

Remember: sweat is fat crying. :)

Sweat is good. Breathing hard is good. Feeling tired when you are done is good.

Don't get discouraged, it gets easier as you go. Really.
